The Traveling Mass -- Official Kick-off
Sunday, November 21
9 a.m. Mass, arrive early.
WHERE:
St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 1060 St. Francis Way, Denver.
(Traveling south on Speer Blvd., St. Francis Way is just south of the Speer/Arapahoe intersection. The parish is on the Auraria Campus, across from the Performing Arts Center off of Speer.)
WHO:
Entire ND Family & Friends
WHAT:
A new tradition -- You’re invited to celebrate Mass with the dynamic, downtown parish of St. Elizabeth’s. Hosted by several Domer parishioners, you’ll experience the warmth of the Holy Spirit, strumming of guitars, and thought-provoking homilies by Fr. Chrys Frank. Followed by coffee & doughnuts, bagels & cream cheese.
HISTORY:
St. Elizabeth’s is Denver’s second oldest Catholic Church. In 1908, the German Franciscan pastor was assassinated while distributing Holy Communion at the 6 a.m. Mass. Following in the tradition of St. Elizabeth of Hungary’s personal ministry, the parish’s Sandwich Line feeds Denver’s poor every day all year.
DO:
Arrive early to meet two of your hosts, (Judge) Mac McManus ’65 and Lynsey Strand ’88, outside the front doors. If you like, wear your ND colors to be easily identifiable.
RSVP by Friday, Nov. 19 to spiritualactivities@nddenver.com so we can prepare the refreshments.
All are welcome!
