The 2012 "Angels Among Us" Christmas Giving Project

For many years, the Notre Dame Club of Denver has sponsored the "Angels Among Us" Christmas Giving Project with Annunciation School in Denver. For the fifth consecutive year, the Club will join with O'Toole's Garden Centers which has agreed to assist the Notre Dame Club in this worthwhile endeavor. Our goal is to help a group of underprivileged children experience the joy and happiness of Christmas. Again this year, we have adopted the "Angels" in the kindergarten, first grade and second grade of Annunciation School in Denver. But this year, we are also collecting gifts for the kindergarten kids at Assumption, Guardian Angels, Presentation and St. Rose of Lima Schools as well.

Students or former students from Notre Dame s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Program are currently teaching at all five of these schools!

Starting November 14th, at each of the three O'Toole's Garden Center store locations, you can select an Angel. On the back of the Angel, you will see what this child is dreaming about receiving for Christmas. If you would like to participate, take an Angel and return that Angel s gift (preferably gift wrapped) to the O'Toole's location on or before Thursday, December 13th. Santa s helpers will pick up all of the gifts and deliver them to each school just in time for the big Christmas party. O'Toole's store locations can be found at www.otoolesgardencenters.com. Angels will be going fast – so don't delay.

We will also be collecting mittens for cold little hands. Please also consider donating a pair of children's mittens for your Angel.

If you have any questions, or would like to help with the pick up and delivery of the kids gifts, please email Bob Kelley at robertkelley2@gmail.com. Or, you can call Bob at 303-981-5446.

Thanks for making Christmas a little bit special for a child who might not otherwise have such a Merry Christmas.

2010 Angels Among Us Event Recap

This year with the help of Sarah Grey (05' teacher at Annunciation), Bob Kelly, Chris Kennedy, Dave Shine, Beth Palkovic (GA ACE teacher), John Clark (ND 07' teacher at Presentation), Faustin Webber (St. Rose ACE teacher), and Robbie Bernardin (Annunciation ACE teacher) we successfully delivered Christmas gifts to the students in the K-2 classes at Annunciation, and the Kindergarten classes at Guardian Angels, Presentation, and St. Rose of Lima.

Additionally Chris Kennedy once again dressed up as Santa Claus and greeted the students at Annunciation, and we provided Annunciation with a small bag full of gloves and hats collected at one of the game watches.
