Magic Moments, Inc.Magic Moments

Magic Moments is back! -- 2012

Co-founded by Notre Dame Club of Denver members Lou (ND '52) and Rosemary Ripp, Magic Moments, Inc. is a non-profit organization, established in 1983, that produces an annual musical and theatrical production. Each production integrates persons with physical and developmental disabilities into the total performing cast of amateurs and professionals. The mix is truly magical for everyone involved - cast, staff, and our audience.  The goals of the organization are to raise community awareness of the special gifts of persons with physical and developmental disabilities and provide our diverse cast an opportunity to give back to their community through theatrical performance.  As always, in this year's production, Magic Moments will create a quality, original production and pull together the diversity found in our community, with disabled, amateur and professionals on stage together across several generations (ages 5 to 75), with strong involvement from children and teens. You can read more about Magic Moments by clicking on www.magicmomentsinc.org.

About Magic Moments

Magic Moments is a non-profit organization that produces an annual musical and theatrical production that integrates persons with physical and developmental disabilities into the total performing cast. Founded by our own Rosemary and Lou Ripp ('52) in 1982, Magic Moments is an annual event that the Notre Dame Club of Denver supports.

Magic Moments, Inc. serves children and adults in the disabled community by giving them the opportunity to experience the dramatic and musical arts through performance in a professional theatrical production. Disabled children and adults attend rehearsals, work closely with professional actors, musicians and directors, and take part on stage in five performances of an original theatrical production.

Magic Moments also gives to the community by contributing money earned through ticket sales to organizations that support disabled children and adults throughout the Denver metro area. Organizations benefiting from Magic Moments include: The Colorado Chapter of the Autism Society of America, Craig Rehabilitation Hospital, Denver Options, Colorado special Olympics, ARC and The Bridge Community. Magic Moments has donated over $180,000 to these and similar organizations since its inception.

From a humble beginning of 25 or so volunteers, today's Magic Moments cast of more than 200 writes their own scripts, does their own costuming, set design and construction, and contribute countless behind-the-scenes activities. They depend on donations, patrons, grants and advertising for their production costs.

Magic Moments is always in need of volunteers, both on and off stage. Please go to www.magicmomentsinc.org for more information.   Please contact Magic Moments directly or Rosemary and Lou Ripp at (303) 697-8632 if you'd like to get involved.

The Notre Dame Club of Denver will keep you updated on their next performance. Check back often for more information.
