The Authors Circle celebrates and highlights the writing of Denver-area Alumnae. From bloggers, to published and unpublished authors, their words always touch us and their shared experiences as authors crystallize the difference between writing for a living and living to write.
Our signature event -- She Writes Amidst Us II -- returns on Friday, November 5, 2010. Our symposium focuses on three commonalities of the writers: 1) her experience at Notre Dame and what that experience means to her/how it shapes her; 2) how Notre Dame and the people they interfaced with there have influenced each author in her writing career; 3) how and what does she write for a living?
This Signature Event kicks off the ongoing NDWC Authors Circle of the St. Frances de Sales Junior Book – a fundraising social for Denver Catholic elementary school libraries in February 2011. St. Frances de Sales is the Patron Saint of Writers. The overall aim is to augment a school library’s book collection, specifically by donating children’s books by women authors.
