St. Patrick's Day Parade 2008

Date & Time: March 15, 2008 ... 8:30 for autos & 9:00 for walkers.
Assembly location: Coors Field parking lot in lower Downtown Denver.

We MUST report to Coors Field at this time on March 15th. Please be on time. This applies to autos & walkers.

SOME PARADE RULES

1. Children under the age of 5 may ride, but are not allowed to march in the parade.
2. Drinking of alcohol by parade entrants is not permitted anywhere along the parade route.
3. Beads may be handed to children and other parade spectators by persons walking at the sides of the parade unit. No throwing of beads.

ADDITIONAL PARADE INFORMATION

1. Parade route:
   1. Starts at 27th & Blake
   2. Blake to 17th
   3. 17th to Wynkoop
   4. Wynkoop to 19th
   5. 19th to Wewatta around to the Coors Field Parking
2. All parade units will stage in Coors Field Parking Lots B & C.
3. Only vehicles participating in the Parade and Band buses will enter Coors Field parking lot at the 33rd and Blake Street gate.
4. All other participants will enter Coors Field Parking at the Park Avenue (23rd St) entrance. This includes participant-owned vehicles NOT being driven in the parade or those who wish to drop off a participant. (A limited number of participant-owned vehicles will be allowed to park in Coors Field Parking Lot A spaces.)
5. Comfort stations will be placed throughout the staging area.
6. At the end of the parade route, your unit must continue moving until it has returned to the staging area in Lots B & C.
7. Directions to Coors Field Lot A for Participant Vehicles not in the Parade:
   • Get to Park Ave (23rd St.) Park Ave is one way heading northwest. These streets intersect with Park Ave: Broadway and Lawrence St.
   • Proceed northwest on Park Ave. (23rd St.) Turn right at Wazee St. into Coors Field Lot A.
   • 22nd St parallels Park Ave. It is one way heading southeast. From I-25, exit at 38th Ave/Park Ave (Exit 213 for the southbound drive; Exit 214a for the northbound drive).
   • Turn left into the entry of Coors Field Lot A at Wazee St.
   • Speer Blvd (from I-25, use Exit 212a for Speer Blvd South) to Lawrence to Park Ave.
8. Remember to dress in layers, wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water. Concession vendors will be available in the staging area.
